First Toe up Sock
Well, I completed one sock on my first toe up pair of socks. It went pretty smoothly after the snafoo with the square toe. The heel went fine all the way to the top of the sock. No problems. I like toe up alot.
Sorry so long in getting back to you. I didn't realize I had any comments. I need to figure out how to get comments emailed to me so that I can answer them. I used Socks that Rock yarn, in case you were wondering :o). I'm pretty sure this is a Cookie A pattern, Monkey Socks from Knitty.Com. I think you can just Google the name Monkey Socks, Cookie A and get the pattern. I've done a couple of pair of this pattern. Your question was - for your first toe up pattern, which one would you use. I really think that toe up socks are much easier than top down, plus you have the added advantage of being able to try them on as you knit them. I knit on two circs and find that it keeps socks from falling off those little straight double pointed needles.
